Description: Windows Systems Administrator required for Top Financial Services Company based in Cork.

The Windows System Administrator will be a part of the team responsible for the support and maintenance of the Windows Server Farm by providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, administration, account management and resolution of software and hardware issues.

Responsibilities of the Role:
• Act as an escalation point for customers
• Ensure Assyst calls closed within SLA

Dimensions of Job
• Software to hardware installation.
• VMWare Environment maintenance
• Physical Server builds
• Knowledge on how to apply maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required.
• Adding/administering backups/libraries/Data source.

Experience
• Has the personal presence and track record to communicate effectively and command respect from staff at all levels
• Has a technical background of sufficient depth and width to be able to recognize opportunities for their team.
• Ability to work on own initiative with strong self-starter competencies.
• Experience of service provision with a strong customer focus.
• Innovative with a strong focus on continuously improving service to clients.
• A high degree of flexibility to achieve high performing standards.
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
• To be self-motivated and enthusiastic and support of the business vision and encourages others to work towards its achievement
• Ability to break problems into their component parts, gathers relevant data which results in an objective decision being made
• Supports the continuous improvement agenda and identifies opportunities to improve procedures and processes. Encourages colleagues to support a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical
• Experience in supporting Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server platforms
• Experience in Vmware Environments (esp. ESXi) an advantage.

Further Knowledge/Skills (incl. Education)
• IT Diploma College Certification or equivalent.

Description: Senior IT Administrator - Permanent Role for Large Corporate Client - €50-60,000k basic Salary
Our client, located in County Kildare and the location will suit anyone living near the M50 who lives near the Naas Rd (N7). The company currently employ about 100 staff and wishes to appoint an IT Senior Administrator.
The Position
Based at the Head Office in Kildare, the Senior IT Administrator is the only employee member dedicated to the IT function and as such is a key member of staff with broad responsibilities, including but not limited to:
The delivery of the IT related services (current and future) required by the business
Day-to-day IT operations and support
The technical management of the company's IT eco-structure
The availability of IT services and systems in accordance with agreed service levels or service targets
The successful applicant will also assist in the introduction and use of new technology in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the group's business processes.
Competencies
The competencies required for the position encompass but are not limited to:
The effective application of best practice concepts and techniques for managing, administering and supporting information systems and technology
Good technical skills, including:
o Microsoft Windows Server and desktop including active directory, networking, security and desktop office products
o Perimeter security including SonicWall and Barracuda
o Management reporting including Excel OLE based reporting
o Microsoft Exchange
o Microsoft SQL*Server
o Understanding of virtualisation technology and disaster recovery planning
o Working knowledge of Linux OS
An ability to effectively manage and coordinate suppliers
Able to develop and implement efficient and effective IT processes and procedures
Able to undertake the technical testing and acceptance of new systems and solutions
Can make effective use of Microsoft Office
Possession of the technical skills required to enable and enforce the company's compliance with the laws and regulations concerning information technology and data protection
Ability to maintain accurate and clear records
Requirements.
The successful candidate will have:
A third level qualification at a higher level, preferably in an IT related field
At least five years' of relevant working experience in IT service operations, management and support
A proven track record successfully delivering new or enhanced IT services and systems, and participating in IT projects
The ideal candidate will also:
Have a recognised IT service management/operations certification (e.g. ITIL)
Hold technical certifications relevant to the company's IT environment

Description: My Dublin based client currently requires a Helpdesk Level 2 Engineer to be first point of contact for my client’s customers and work within a busy environment.

Requirements:

• A dynamic working environment composed of in-house remote support and on-site support with our customer base, so own transport is essential
• Provide a point of contact for customers who need to log support incidents via phone or email
• Logging of all incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant information is obtained and recorded on incident logging software
• Provide problem diagnosis, using appropriate support tools for hardware, software & in-house applications
• Escalate more complex or critical issues to appropriate senior staff
• Ensuring that all cases owned by the Service Desk are resolved in accordance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional at all times
• Ensure processes, procedures and resolutions are documented and updated regularly on the Service Desk knowledge base
• Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the clients products and on-going releases
• Any other duties deemed required as part of the day to day role
• May be required to take part in on call rota

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience of working in a Service Desk for MSP or busy support environment
• Third Level qualification in field of IT
• Excellent working knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems (Win XP and Win 7,8)
• Working knowledge of Mac OS X for desktop and server and mainstream packages including Adobe CS Suite, Quark and font management solutions
• Administrative Knowledge of Server Support – 2003, 2008 and 2012
• Microsoft Active Directory administration skills
• Microsoft Exchange knowledge an advantage
• Firewall, routing and switching experience an advantage
• Good backup Software Support knowledge
• Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels
• Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Self-starter who uses own initiative
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Must hold a driving licence and own transport
