Description: My Dublin based client is looking for a Senior Cobol Programmer to join their successful company in the South of Dublin
Min 5 years working experience of application software development in a COBOL environment
Your primary responsibility will be to define and develop a software solution to meet specific user requirements. You will also be required to work with my clients consulting staff and client technical staff to support the relevant software delivered.
Responsibilities
•Produce appropriate Functional Specifications from client requirement specifications.
•Carry out technical programming/QA activities/User Documentation to company ISO standards.
•Production of test plans and scripts for the testing of application software components.
•Handle change control through company ISO standards.
•Provide support, assistance and advice on all technical issues relating to the software delivered.
•Handle customer technical queries through company/ISO standards.
My client is looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years working experience of application software development in a COBOL environment essential.
Minimum of 2 years working experience of application software design essential
Oracle SQL / PLSQL an advantage - but is not essential.
