Eolas Recruitment have a range of openings available to AS 400 Operators to provide the necessary technical and administrative services to ensure the successful running of client systems. Knowledge of the AS400 Operating System and Fault Isolation is a prerequisite. You will be expected to perform the following types of duties as a AS400 Operator:- User administration – account creation/deletion, password maintenance, user requests, file maintenance, user notifications, printer configuration, monitoring and optimising system usage , backing up daily data to tape/ restoring tape data, monitoring the nightly batch window to ensure all batch process completes on time. Good working knowledge of other IT platforms such as NT, Lotus Notes and RS/6000 are an distinct advantage.
